I have been working with stained glass since 1984. My work started out as a hobby and progressed to a career in 1991. Whenever possible my staff and I attend classes to refine our skills & learn new techniques. With a few lessons, and a little practice, anyone can make stained glass their hobby.
Peachie's is in our 3rd location in a 3000 sf. building purchased in 2000. The building was a drug store for 40 years and has been perfect for us. We have a great space for gifts, classes and supplies. I love this location and will enjoy working here in the years to come.
Peachie's is a family business. My daughter Stacy, started tagging along with me when she was 4 & my son Kevin has helped out with classes when needed. You can usually find them here during our Open Houses wrapping glass and helping customers. My husband Tim is of course part owner, custom framer, and the maintenance man. The shop could not run without Tim.
Gretchen has been with us for about 6 years and came from a strong background in beads and hotglass. She now teaches alot of our classes and has helped design many custom panels.
Sheri started with us in 2005 as a part-timer. She started off just making stained glass but now is hooked on fusing and bead making.
Cindy is another of our part-timers. She started with stained glass and has grown to love mosaics as well as fusing.
Last, but not least, is our "greeter" Jake. He is our shop Yorkie that enjoys to meet people at the door and play with the kids while the parents look around.
We all love glass and spend most of our waking hours working with some aspect of glass. |
